From a leadership succession point of view, what is the average age gap between two generations? In many organizations I relate to, the C-level leadership began investing in people 5 to 10 years younger than themselves, calling it “intergenerational leadership succession.”A more accurate description would actually be “leadership diversification” as anything less than 15 to 20 years would not truly constitute being “next generational”. So is your organization intentional about the next generation of leaders or merely diversifying the current leadership generation?
